Location: Levent, Istanbul This project shows us a transformation of an existing primary school building into a fine arts high school. To not to loose the urban memory, concrete structure of the building kept but its facade and floor plan design changed according to the needs of the fine arts high school.
Existing parts of the building connected each other with annex areas, stairs, eaves and backyard. All the classroom sizes comes from the instruments' space needs. There are also physical, chemistry and computer labs in addition to art studios, music clasrooms, library and multi-purpose lounge.
3D Model created according to the new floor plan design. As you can see from the section and facade drawings, new project still keeps the classical school structure memory even it has modern touches like annex buildings, stairs and backyard.
